When Hot Pants was first started in the DIMP Universe, we wanted a place to house all of the great things that our staff wanted to do that fell outside of what DVD In My Pants was all about.

In our front page, you know that we will do our damnedest to give you the best of our staff when it comes to movies and home video.

Our staff, talented as they are, are so much more than that. Rather than muddy up the directionof with so much off-topic material, Hot Pants was created in order to provide an outlet an allow our staff to entertain and inform you in new, different, and exciting ways.

Since Hot Pants has been live, you have been treated to interesting and fun items, such as Lostwire’s Papercut Cinema, JFelix’s A Year In Disneyland series, our always popular contests, and so much more. Nevertheless, Hot Pants was always sort of the quiet kid in the back of the class… full of unfulfilled promise, yet delivering only intermittently. In our zeal to provide the finest DVD site out there, Hot Pants became something of a stepchild.

Well, now Hot Pants is here, focused, and ready to break out of its shell! To celebrate our new and improved overall look of the DIMP Universe, we are using the occasion to debut Hot Pants the way it was always meant to be. You will still find everything here that you’ve come to expect. In addition, you will find so very much more. Some items, like the CD reviews, our report of Comic-Con ’06, and Robert Knaus’ movie score column have been teasers on what you will see coming from Hot Pants. Expect more great material from Robert as well as music reviews and columns, articles on gaming, comics, theme parks, A/V hardware, video games, television, and every other facet of popular culture.

As in the past, every Wednesday at the DIMP Universe is Hot Pants day. Expect expanded updates from us every week with new contests, articles, and reviews. We even review films at Hot Pants that are far too underground for to dirty their paws with. You will see work from some of your favorite DIMP veterans as well as plenty of new faces ready to wow you with their words. Oh yeah, and check out our store.
